Barefoot that finally looks good

NO COMPROMISE BETWEEN LOOKS AND FUNCTION

Barefoot that finally looks good

Shoes are a socio-economic phenomenon, which is why we took on the challenge of creating new minimalist footwear that not only feels great but looks great too. The result? Globetrotter makes no compromise between comfort and style, so you can happily say goodbye to the days when barefoot or minimalist shoes felt unfashionable. Thanks to their versatile design, Globetrotter shoes make you feel great and look great with every step.

All-day comfort

BAREFOOT FOR THE 21ST CENTURY

All-day comfort

The common worry that barefoot shoes are not suited to a full day in the city does not apply to Skinners. The removable Comfort+ insole lets you set your own level of comfort — with it, comfort is higher; without it, walking feels more natural. Whether you spend the day at the office, running errands or heading straight from work for a walk, your feet stay perfectly at ease.

Made purely from natural, sustainable materials

Shoes made from trees? No problem — quality natural materials and long-lasting footwear are a must. That is why the entire Globetrotter is made from sustainably sourced materials. Our patented, breathable TreeKnit™ upper, made from conifer fibres, fits like a glove. The soft, mattress-like lining comes from eucalyptus, and the highly abrasion-resistant Sensium™ sole is made from the rubber tree.

Everything you need to know

Everything you need to know

Yes. The barefoot shoe collection is designed to allow natural movement and support healthy posture. However, if you have health issues such as flat feet, chronic back pain or neurological problems, we recommend consulting a specialist or making a gradual transition.

Barefoot shoes are designed to mimic walking barefoot. They have a thin, flexible sole with no heel and a wide toe box for maximum freedom of toe movement. Unlike regular shoes, they do not provide rigid support, which strengthens the foot muscles and promotes good posture.

To choose the right size, measure the length of your foot and compare it with our size chart. We recommend leaving about 5–10 mm of space in the shoe for comfortable toe movement. You can find more information in the article here.

Yes, our barefoot shoes are suitable for winter conditions too. Thanks to high-quality materials, you can stay warm, especially if you choose thermal socks or special insoles. You can choose from our autumn and winter models here.

Yes, you can wear barefoot shoes for running on natural surfaces such as forest trails or grass. When running on hard surfaces, you need to train gradually so that your feet can adapt. Start slowly and listen to your body.

The lifespan of barefoot shoes depends on how intensively they are used and cared for. However, the soles of our shoes are made of natural rubber, which is much more durable than the materials commonly used for conventional soles. Thanks to this durability, you can be sure that even a thin sole will not wear through quickly. With proper care and by alternating pairs, your barefoot shoes will last several seasons, even with regular use.

Remove dirt regularly and use a waterproofing product suitable for the material. It extends the life of the shoes and keeps them resistant to moisture. For most models, we do not recommend machine washing – clean the shoes by hand. You can read more about caring for barefoot shoes in the article here or in the leaflet included with each shoe model.

Yes, wearing barefoot shoes regularly can help strengthen the foot muscles, improve posture and increase the sensitivity of your feet. The transition should be gradual so that your body can get used to the new walking style. Learn more on our blog in this article.
